What's Opinionate all about then?
Opinionate helps people influence the products, services and environment of
the future. Local councils, companies large and small and, of course, the Government,
perform research everyday - Opinionate makes it easy and rewarding to take part
in this research. More importantly Opinionate allows you to express your views whenever
you want to so you can help push things in the direction you want.
Why should I join?
- Because you can MAKE AN IMPACT. A product will be designed better with your input
or perhaps a new road scheme will be cancelled because of your opposition.
- Because you'll EARN. If you're going to do research, you may as well earn some cash.
Opinionate is one of the more generous online research companies.
- Because you'll LEARN. Opinionate publishes the results of most of our polls so you'll
see how your opinions compare to other peoples'. And because Opinionate works with
new products and ideas that are still being tested - you'll hear about them first.
Why do you need my personal details?
We need contact details (such as your email address) so we can contact you about
survey opportunities. We collect postcode data and other info so we can select relevant
surveys. Only someone with kids would enjoy a nappy survey! And an opinion poll
about a hospital closure in Bristol should only include local people from Bristol.
Is my data safe?
Yes - very. Opinionate will not share your personal details with anyone. Opinionate
will not sell your personal details to anyone. All data is securely stored and protected.
How do I take part in a survey?
Once you've signed up, we'll send you invitations to participate in our paid
surveys via email. All you need do is click on the link to the survey (in the email)
and complete the questionnaire (they can be anywhere between 3 minutes and 20 minutes
in length). Once you've finished, your account will be automatically updated with
the cash value attached to the particular survey.
What if I don't want to do a particular poll?
All polls are completely voluntary. It's great to get your opinions but if for
whatever reason you are unable to complete a poll then don't worry.

and we'll ensure that your records are removed from our database.
What's in it for Opinionate then?
Profit hopefully. We're not evil but we are a market research company. We earn
money by charging councils and companies to find out what you think and what you
want. A sizeable portion of our revenue is passed back to you, the community members
when you redeem your earnings. Then, if there's anything left at the end, that's
our profit. In which case, everyone's a winner.
